Spiritual Maturity
Eph 4:13 "until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, and the growth rate according to the fullness of Christ,"
Discussing spiritual maturity is not easy. What is true spiritual maturity? I will try to discuss as far as is known even to understand what true manhood is so only if we have reached the level of maturity. I hear people say a lot about the maturity and admitted
were grown in spiritual matters but in my opinion they were babies / children spiritually. Recognition of maturity does not come from ourselves but from others who feel the maturity. A child of 10 years can be admitted and acted
as adults, but others who see it know that the child was not yet mature.
An adult who does not need to recognize and act as if as an adult because he is grown so other people could see it.
Usually when the pressure we will be able to see someone is mature or not. People who have the spiritual maturity will remain calm and able to control the situation in any heavy pressure. Another sign is the one who reaches spiritual maturity have focused only live for a divine purpose. He is no longer focused on the personal ambition or desire in life. All that does is to please God alone.
In other words he was dead against your own. His life is fully geared to meet the plan and the divine call.
Additionally spiritually mature person also has the ability to distinguish between good and evil as his spiritual senses trained (Heb 5:14). Then also have a full confidence whether something is or is not the will of God (Col. 4:12 b). Full confidence that usually comes from the testimony of mental / spirit that has been trained to know something is the will of God or not. A person who is spiritually mature will know and can feel through his mind whether something is true or not.
Other important signs are spiritually mature person who does not like dispute / fight.
Only children who love to fight and quarrel. A mature person will try to keep the peace, even rope in a sharp dissent of any kind. Not that people today do not dare to give his opinion but it will still keep the spirit of unity remains in each of the differences. So if Adak child of God or a man of God who loves to fight, they are not yet having a maturity in Christ.
Discussing about the spiritual maturity is important but more importantly how
it can reach maturity? To reach spiritual maturity no short cuts and instant. A person can learn theology and the Bible has a lot of knowledge but not necessarily his spiritual maturity. To reach maturity is necessary to study the Word of God. But it is more important whether we practice to live up to God's Word?
The key to achieving compliance maturity is not knowledge. God will take us step by step in spiritual growth if we will obey Him. In every stage of growth will usually be accompanied by a crisis. In times of crisis we can choose to use its own power or give it to God. When we choose to surrender the more we grow in spirituality. Later submission will bear obedience. So people who have spiritual maturity is a person who obeyed God.
Life is not for myself anymore but for the glory of God alone.

The Holy Spirit will help and bring each of us to maturity. Everyone has different processes, only God knows the best way to bring us to maturity. God is the good shepherd. He will take it step by step every sheep in order to become an adult.
